About

I LOVE…
God
Learning: I plan on completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical studies and theology.  I teach an adult Sunday School class at church and participate in a weekly Bible study.

Books, books, books, and more books: The Bible daily and always; Biblical studies and theology, primarily those within my chosen theological frame of reference. Once in a while I read something “outside the pale” on the off chance I might find something earthshaking enough to change my convictions. So far I haven’t. I read about church history; writings by all the Puritans, Charles Spurgeon, R. C. Sproul, J. I. Packer, C. S. Lewis, A. W. Tozer, the Christian mystics, and more who escape my memory at present. For relaxation, recreation, and escape, I read fiction (usually by Christian writers, or writers who are Christians – there’s a difference), and lots of it.

Cats: In fact, all furry mammals and many sea creatures, such as whales, seals, otters, dolphins, etc. I will leave it to someone else to harbor fond feelings for any members of the reptile and insect families. I own one cat whom I acquired when she was 6 weeks old and who now has been with me 10 years.

And:
Crocheting, counted cross-stitch, watching baseball, good food, music (classical, gospel, some contemporary Christian, hymns), working crosswords (occasionally), feeding the wild animals in my area (cats, squirrels, and lately a raccoon).

MY RELIGIOUS PERSUASION:
Theologically, I am unabashedly and thoroughly reformed, continuationist, and amillennial!

    JB,

I have just spent the last couple of hours reading many of your postings (I am a slow reader). Thank you for the time and resources you have put forth to promote and defend the faith.

I have a couple of questions for you. Who is JB and what Church do you attend?

    Jim
