  1. I’ve said it for years, and have known it (especially in my own life even before letting Jesus into my heart). Yet, ever day, every week, I am around listening to people who place the lust of the flesh, money, and the things of this world high above God in every aspect of life.

    I, too, notice the consistent idolatry around us. It is most troubling when it’s apparent even in fellow believers. It can slip in so easily – something gradually begins occupying more and more of our attention, we begin to rely on it (or him or her) more and more for our security – and voila, an idol is formed.
